A great difference!

Have you ever had a teacher or a boss whom you often disagreed with or often disobeyed? Some people even treat Jesus Christ that way! One day Jesus asked some very religious people, "Why do you call Me, `Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" 1*.

JESUS REALLY IS "LORD", and one day every one will finally recognise that He is Lord! 2*. Some will do it now in this life and put their trust in Him as their great God and Saviour. But many refuse to have Him as Lord and Saviour of their lives now and will continue to do so until they are forced to when He appears as their JUDGE. Then they will have to obey Him as they are ordered away from His presence forever into Hell. 3*. There is a great difference between accepting Jesus NOW as your Lord and Saviour rather than waiting until you are forced to obey Him as your Lord and Judge when He orders you away from His presence forever for not having obeyed His word! 4*.

Jesus said, "The one who hears My words and does not put them into practice is like a man who builds a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house it collapsed and its destruction was complete." 5*. What a terrible discovery that would be - to find that the life that you thought you had built so well was built on a useless foundation and becomes as a heap of rubbish before God! 6*.

But this will never happen to you if you put your trust in the words and teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. "I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and puts them into practice," Jesus said." "He is like a man building a house , who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When the flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built." 7*.

You see, although the person who trusts in Jesus Christ as Priest and Saviour has to face the very same storms and troubles in this life that are common to man, 8*. there is a great difference! Every person who has Jesus as Saviour has God with them, so even the "valley of the shadow of death" will not cause them terror! They will "fear no evil." 9*.

Make sure YOU are not going to be caught out at the end of your life with what you might think of as being a "well built" religious life but on a useless foundation! You need to "dig down deep" into the Word of God, the Holy Bible, to find out the true and reliable teachings of Jesus Christ and then put you faith on Him and His words.

Read Jesus' warning for yourself in Luke's Gospel chapter 6, verses 46-49., and be sure your trust is in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour before it is too late and you have to face Him as your angry Judge!
