Are you interested in looking after your health? Many people would think that to lose their health would be the greatest loss they could ever have. There is something that should be even more important to you and we find out about it this true story.
When Jesus arrived at Simon's Peter's home, Peter's wife's mother "was suffering from a high fever. They asked Jesus to help her, so He bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her."
The news of this miracle soon spread. That evening, "when the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying hands on each one Jesus healed them."

Early the next morning, at daybreak Jesus went out to a lonely place. Later when the people found Him they tried to keep him from leaving them. "I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other towns also" He said, "because that is why I was sent."

You see, Jesus had other very important work to do. His Father had sent Him to preach good news before going to the cross to die for your sins and mine.
Jesus, the Son of God from Heaven had all power over sickness and demons. He could have spent all His time healing the sick; but He knew people had a greater need. He had to preach to sinful mankind and announce that there was a way back to God. That Way was Jesus Himself.

Jesus knew that in many cases giving good health to people was only making them strong to go on doing wicked and sinful things!
You have seen yourself that much suffering and sicknesses are caused by healthy people being involved in sinful habits and practices! For example, ‘healthy' people often bring upon our society; wars, drug addiction, drunkenness, greed, poverty, unfaithfulness, immorality that spreads AIDS and other diseases, violence, murder, hatred, destruction, etc.

People need more than good health!
Jesus had something better than health to offer to those who would hear and believe His message.

Today there are many doctors and medicines that can help the sick, but only Jesus has the answer for our sin!6*. Only through Jesus Christ coming to be the One who could bear the punishment for our sins was it going to be possible for God to forgive us and change us. 7*.
Would you rather have heard today that Jesus came to be a HEALER rather than a SAVIOUR? God "sent His Son to be the SAVIOUR of the world," 8*. to be able to forgive your sins and change your life. Right now you can call upon Him in faith to forgive your sins and to give you a heart to love and obey God.
