Going to Heaven!

When a little girl told her friends that she was going on a visit to America, they began to ask her many questions. "Have you got your visa to get into America?" "I don't know!" "Are you going by boat or plane?" "I don't know!" "Where will you be staying?" "I don't know!" "How long will You be staying there?" "I don't know!"

Although she could not answer those questions she was not upset. You see, there was something she did know - her dad had promised that he was taking her to America!

Did you know that the Lord Jesus Christ promises some people that He will get them to Heaven? I am one of those people! I wonder are you? You can find out if you listen to this short message.

One day Jesus said to His disciples, "In My Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me, that you also may be where I am." (verses 2-3.)

Maybe you are wishing you had been one of those whom Jesus said that to. Wouldn't you like to be going to Heaven? Did you know that those who are going to Heaven can know it NOW! Listen to what Jesus is saying here, and you will find out about this!

Jesus said to His disciples, "You know the way to the place where I am. going. Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" (verses 4-5.) If Thomas wasn't sure of how to get to Heaven then is it possible for you or me to be sure today?

Jesus' reply to Thomas answers that clearly! Jesus said, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (verse 6.)

Surely that was clear enough for Thomas! It is certainty clear enough for me! I have put my trust in Jesus alone to forgive my sins, to save me and get me to Heaven. No doubt you could ask me a lot of questions about Heaven that I could not answer. But I do know this - Jesus has promised all those who trust in Him a place in Heaven! (verse 3.) And Jesus' promise is good enough for me! (2nd Timothy 1:12. Hebrews 6: 8-20.)

Don't you be a "doubting Thomas" by refusing to believe the promises of Jesus Christ! God calls that “unbelief", and will forever reject those who will not believe His Son. (John 3:16-19.)

Unfortunately there are many today who would try to disourage you from taking Jesus at His word. They will tell you it is "presumption" for anyone to say he is going to Heaven! But those same people, who don’t want you to really trust Jesus' words will then expect you to trust in their words and actions to save you!

Don't be deceived - put your faith in Jesus Christ to save you - He alone is the Saviour, and the only WAY to God and Heaven. (Acts 4:12. 1st Peter 3:18.)
